reason, i do understand a part of an atheist's side. but... what is this one
thing that makes you not to believe in God?
I think these classic quotes from Woody Allen sum up my opinion:
"To you I'm an atheist; to God, I'm the Loyal Opposition."
"If only God would give me some clear sign! Like making a large deposit in
my name at a Swiss bank."
And:
"If it turns out that there is a God, I don't think that he's evil. But the
worst that you can say about him is that basically he's an underachiever.
"
To quote Noam Chomsky (persona non grata in the US now):
If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't
believe in it at all.
Even though I know I will regret making my first-ever post in a religion
discussion, I personally think schools should teach religion. Specifically, a
comparative religion course that discusses the history and background of all the
major religious texts. Things like, who decided what books would be part of the
Catholic bible, versus say the Protestant version? What about the Quoran? Or
the Torah? Did I even spell those right? And what about budhism? I think that
would make a fascinating course.

Remember guys, it's just a cartoon. Try not to take it seriously...
